We stayed for 1 week at the Park Plaza Histria and almost could not fault it. We upgraded our room to a sea view which was worth every penny, it is so beautiful there and the scenery is gorgeous. The hotel is clean and contemporary, the gym was superb and indoor pool was really relaxing. The Outdoor pool, whilst fairly small, was lovely and ample loungers around the pool area and up on the terrace and grounds near by. The food was lovely whilst they only have one restaurant, which is unusual for all inclusive, the food was always an excellent standard and plenty of choice. Service at times getting drinks in the dining area was slow, but this was the only criticism in terms of that. The all inclusive drinks appeared a little restricted compared to other all inclusive we have stayed and rather than surcharges for higher end brands you have to pay entirely again should you want a higher brand. Also, I could not get prosecco on all inclusive unless it was breakfast where it was available for mimosas or you went to the Thomson all inclusive bar at night called the Taverna, given its (prosecco) popularity seemed very restrictive. Some of the bar staff could be a little blunt but we did not let this bother us, it was noticeable particularly by the poolside and the reception bar. But the guest reception was extremely helpful and friendly. The surrounding area of hotel is stunning, lovely walks and bike rides are a must and the buses in to Pula are so easy and cheap and from Pula you can venture further with ease. All in all a stunning hotel almost faultless.
