The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms very complete. The room decoration and furniture is the best, it is beautiful and has all the details you can dream of. The buffet breakfast and the restaurant menu is very good, we were always kindly attended. The hotel is next to a shopping center that is impressive and at the bottom is a train and metro station. Much luxury and very good location. Without a doubt it is a very good option for a short stay. My stay here is perfect. I am very satisfied with the service! Highly recommended!

Spent a night at the Granvia and loved everything about it. The location is unbeatable, as everyone has said. It's at the train station and the bus terminal is just outside. It is also elegant and very comfortable. Our room was large, and had a lovely bathroom with a huge tub. I really enjoyed it after a day of walking Kyoto. The bed was luxurious with a mountain of pillows. Some of the hotels we stayed at in Japan were quite stingy with the pillows. We had a great view of Kyoto out our window. You get all the pampering common to nice Japanese hotels; tons of free bathroom amenities, comfy slippers to wear, tea makings in the room, an English language newspaper every morning, and of course, the toilet with a heated seat and built-in bidet. The service was always warm and efficient. There is free internet access in a room behind the concierge desk. As others have mentioned, the train station complex offers every kind of restaurant you could want so we never ate at the hotel. I can't think of why I'd stay anywhere else in Kyoto.

The location meant I could catch public transport with confidence as all buses headed back to Kyoto Station. I never worried about getting lost, which was a huge bonus. All the staff, bellhop, concierge, room cleaners were very lovely and helpful. They were so accommodating for all of our needs and welcomed us so nicely and took care of us during all our stay. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The bed was super comfortable and the pillows perfect. The Teppanyaki restaurant was incredible - not cheap but amazing food. The quality of the breakfast and dinner buffet was very good also Would definitely stay here again.
